So sorry to hear this.
He sure will be missed here. I wish his family could have kept the account long enough to have a chance to see all the wonderful things written about him. He really was one of the most positive, or "plesant posters" on our site.
RIP
Thank you Kitty for letting us know.0 -
Good-bye RobertRE said:Tears of saddnes
I always like Robert, such a nice man and such a supportive gentleman. I am truly saddened to hear that he has earned his wings. RIP Robert and thank ou for the friendship!

This is sad. Robert seemed like a man with a huge heart and gentle ways. He kept up with everyone's birthdays and was always pleasant and upbeat. I always enjoyed his posts, he usually said something that made him write "ha ha." I hope heaven is treating him well.

I just learned of his passing yesterday. So very sad! He was such a sweetheart. I think he was always the first one to send happy birthday wishes. We will miss you Robert!!! Enjoy your angel wings my friend, you earned them.

I made a small donation to MaleBreastCancer.org in Robert's memory, which was his family's wish, and I hope Robert's wish as well. I wasn't able to navigate their online donation page in either Internet Explorer or Google Chrome (very frustrating site, I must say), so mailed them a check.
His obituary is still posted on the Cotten Funeral Home website (the link that Kitty and Eileen posted above), and I think his picture there says it all -- what a gentle, kind, strong man he was, someone who went through so much pain and difficulty, yet always had a cheerful word for others. I will miss him here.

I haven't posted because I've really been effected by this news. Robert will always have a place in my memory - he was for the longest time our only male breast cancer survivor and such a kindred spirit (as Chen would say). I'm sure he will be missed by many.

Our world is bereft at the loss of such a genuinely caring man as Robert. He is missed.
