Prayers for sister and checking in
Soon will be a month since Jim died. I think I am still numb most days, with little breaks in the numbness where I can feel. That was until Monday. On Monday I cried most of the day. I just had this profound sadness. It does help to come visit this Board and encourage all who are facing new diagnosis or after effects of this hateful disease. Oh why can't they find a cure?
If you are a prayer please pray for my sister Rita. She had a stroke last year on Easter and now has been diagnosed with COPD and Asthma. But the real concern is her thyroid. Yesterday she had a scan with dye and is waiting on the results. She says she will not go through treatment if it is cancer. Her husband died from lung cancer and she saw and heard of Jim's suffering with BOT cancer. She had a benign growth on her throat years ago so I pray this is the same.

Debbie, I'm sorry you're
Debbie, I'm sorry you're feeling so sad but that is to be expected. i'm happy that you come here and let us be part of your life so we can try to comfort you. we are your family and we want to be there for you. i am definitely praying for your sister, Rita. i understand her not wanting tx if its cancer, i believe if my cancer comes back (would be 3rd times) i will not do tx. that would be a tough decision and take much thought. praying that Rita won't have to make that decision. please let us know what happens. praying for you both.
Vivian, its really good to see a post from you. i pray you are doing as well as can be esxpected. please let us know how you are doing. God bless you.
God bless you, Debbie,

THINKING OF YOU
Hey Debbie,
Grieving is a very long process with lots of ebbs and surges of the pain of loss, and I am very sorry that you are having to go though it; my heart goes out to you. I am also very sorry to hear about all of the issues that your sister is having to deal with, and hope that her thyroid is benign. Remember to take care of yourself, even as you take care of your sister.

Prayers for sister
Debbie:
As always good to hear from you. So sorry about your sister and will be praying for her. Again, I do know how you're feeling and the first year is the toughest (I guess!) But it's good you're able to release those emotions. It's been almost 4 years since Charlie passed away and I still cry sometimes so it's perfecftly normal. This time of year is a little rough for me because everything started falling apart about now and June 28 would have been our 39th anniversary and July 27 is our birthday (remember we had the same birthday!) And of course August is when he passed away. I'm going the last of June to NC and stay with my in-laws while my brother-in-law and his wife go on vacation thru the 4th. It'll hopefully give them a worry free vacation knowing somebody is there with them. My father-in-law was 90 in Feb. and is busily working his garden. He is amazing sometimes; not in the best of health but loves working that garden. He says he just likes watching everything grow! I have to go to a memorial service for a church member this afternoon and mainly help with the reception afterward which I love doing as it gives me such a sense of giving back because the reception they did for us we were just so overwhelmed. Keep us posted on your sister and prayers as always! God Bless!
