First of all, I want to thank you all for giving me wisdom and strength. I would not be able to go through this without having been reading what you all have.

I have been off Prednisone since April 29th.  The stuff on my lungs is back.(Back in February CT showed progression in the middle of both lungs. Prednisone held off symptoms and slowed progression). Now,my voice is so hoarse, my lungs crackle when I exhale. Same symptoms of when I went off Prednisone before. And the crap came back.

My only choices are possibly staying on Prednisone (this is not the doctors first choice). Consensus between my Mayo and local pulmonologist is at least going on the medicine people who get organ transplants. My brain can't think of the word right now. Is it immunosuppressant? (Had to google my botched spelling lol) But I think the side effects of those is just as bad as Prednisone (and at least I love the energy I have on steroids...I get lots done and its not so hard  to get off my rearend and do stuff).

I am going to wait a bit then call my local pulmonologist, get a CT Scan, then see him and talk about what we can do.

Meanwhile, its like those that have Stage 4 cancer...figuring what drug regiment will hold off progression the best and learning to live with it.

I have my mom over for a few days. We started planting the garden a bit. Having a good time.

Good thing is, I can bribe my mom again into doing stuff...she didn't want to go to this bar for the 2nd best burger & fries I ever had, so I pulled the old...I don't know how many years my lungs will hold mom....lol... and I get my way!

My heart goes out to you.  I have some lung problems, but mine are self inflicted.  I smoked for 50 years and just quit a year ago.

Know you are in my prayers, Cinnamon.  May they find a med that helps you, gives you energy and doesn't hurt you or have the potental to puff you up like the Pillsbury Dough Boy.

    You are loved.

    Sandy

I love your spirit and I am happy you are living life to its fullest.  I liked the Pillsbury Dough Boy comment too as I have been kind of feeling that way - especially right after chemo. Wink
