Hi all. I haven't posted in a while, and finally had a few minutes to myself today to sign in.

I am so sad to read of some of the losses, recurrances and new battles with the dreaded "c" word that some of you are going through now. Every one of you helped Pat and myself get through some of the roughest days of our lives. Please know that I have you all in my thoughts and prayers, that you may find peace and strength, as you try to make your way through yet another rough patch brought on by this horrible disease...

Pat seems to be doing well so far, as check ups with his Oncologist have been routine. Of course there are always the lingering side effects from radiation, but we are at the point now of realizing we are through the worst of it and getting on with "life". We are five months out of treatment and we are greatful for each new day in a way that you just don't understand until you have lived through something like a cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Anyway, I send my prayers and love to you all, especially my friends who are in the midst of fighting new battles.

Jamie

    Hi Jamie

Glad to here that you both are doing so well and life is back to a kind of new normal. Keep your faith in God and thank Him for every new day that comes and goes. When I wake up in the morning and look up and see my ceiling I know I am still here to see another day and I thank Him so much for it. I might not be the man I once was tall strong and fat but I am still me.

    God Bless

It was like music to my ears to hear back from you all!

P thank you so much. Our daughter has definitely been keeping us busy. I can't believe that she will be going away to college in just over a year...time sure does fly!

Have a great weekend everyone. I am going to try to not stay away so long from now on Wink

Glad Pat is doing abi-normal well. You tend to get use to the side effects while they become standrd in everyday life. I have used being abi-normal to my advantage a few times and will keep it in my back pocket for quick use in the future. For me everyday is a new day at one time I wasn't supposed to have. Your right, you have to live it to understand it. The individuals who lose the battle are hard to take as are the newbies that come on board ready to start their battle rekindling the memories of our own.

    Tell Pat to heal on.

    Enjoy the day
