Hello, I have experienced cramps from my hips down if I stay in a postion too long but they are very quickly resolved. I really don't know if its due to getting older or the tx we go through. If you find out let me know and I'll do the same. Lori
Your electrolytes might be out of balance. A basic lab draw will let you know it this is the problem. Have you checked this out with your Dr yet?

Thanks you Two. I don't get cramps from hip down , I get hip pain but not muscle cramps that high. If dr tells me anything I will let you know for sure. I will also mention the electrolytes test. Someone also told me that it could possibly be b12 deficiency . I will explore all answers . Thanks so very much. Pem

I finished treatments in early December and for the last month, I've been having pain in my left leg - pain is in my shin (like shin splints), side of my leg, hip, and sciatic area. Mine are not cramps, but I do think mine are related to the radiation done on my pelvic area. I hope you find out what is causing your cramps and that this condition improves soon.

I used to get foot cramps
I used to get foot cramps last summer. Over the winter they stopped. I wondered if it had anything to do with the sandals I was wearing last summer - don't know. But as it happens I was with my mom today and she told me that she also has foot cramps. Her doctor recommended Gatorade. He said it was most likely an electrolyte imbalance and that the Gatorade might help.

I get these all the time. Mostly at night but I have had them other times too. For me they are like getting charley horses in my feet. It makes my toes look mangled when I'm having one. I also get them in my calfs and shins. I have to assume it was from treatment (finished a year ago). I never had them before. I also get a cramping feeling in my lower buttocks/thigh area. The cramps at night are awful. I want to yell but I hold back so I don't wake up my husband. The dog sleeps on the floor next to my side of the bed and he knows when I'm having one of those cramps because I whimper and he always stands up to see if I'm okay. They are very painful. I haven't found anything to relieve them. I drink plenty of water and I try to stretch my feet before bed. If you find a solution please post.

I'm so greatful for this site and all the advise I'm given. I don't get on it as much but really appreciate all the feedback . I have tried stretching my feet daily by going on my knees and siting on my feet while they are flat under me. I think this has helped my shin and foot cramps cause I dont seem to get them as often Now. I don't see the dr until mid May but I will still ask about the electrolytes test the b12 and mention the hyland leg cramps. Pheopesnow is that like a pill or a cream? I'm still praying it's not my new normal and will go away for good. But so far the stretching is helping I think. God bless all. Pem

Low potassium can produce the symptoms you're experiencing. I used to have a lot of cramping in my calves after running, but have found that by eating a small banana every day, they can be avoided!
