In honor of you all...

I've been away from this site for a while, only because I've been insanely busy.  New house, TWO new puppies and WORK!  I miss you all, think of you all, and include you all in my prayers daily.  I just signed up to do the survivor lap at our local Relay for Life.  A luminary is being purchased and will be released in honor of my CSN family.  I still get so emotional thinking of the amazing support, love and strength you all showed me and shared with me during my lowest times.  I owe so much of my recovery to you all.  Thank you doesn't quite cover it and I'll never be able to explain what you all mean to me.  I'm back online now and will be around to show my support and love to all of you again.  I hope you all are doing well and I am sad to see so many new names.  Please know that I consider you all family and love you all.

    Hi Tracy

We are all part of a one big family and I think that is why we are all so close to each other. John had surgery yesterday and right now everyone is praying for him to have a full recovery. When one hurts we all hurt with them and give all the help and support we can. That is one reason when I tried to leave CSN a few years ago I could not do it. I needed the help and support of everyone here in my life. God bless and keep you in your new house and enjoyed the puppies.

    tracy, i also participat in

tracy, i also participate in the relay for life and have for several years.  its a great opportunity to help.  ours is may 17, my birthday, what a great bd gift.  i'm glad you found love and support here and that we were able to help you thru your tx.  its wonderful to know you are doing so well.  i pray we can encourage all the new people also.  i agree with you, its very sad to see so many new people here.  they are MORE reasons to participate and continue to help raise funds for cancer research.

i pray for everyone here everyday.  if you are just starting tx, you have a rough road ahead of you but you WILL do it.   we will be here on the sidelines cheering you on and picking you up when you stumble.  you are NOT alone!

    God bless you all,

    dj

    Old (not really old) Friend

    Tracy,

It is nice to hear you are doing well, we shared some interesting times.

While not as intense as “early on” my emotions still are still right below the surface.

Keep moving forward and enjoy every day.

    Nice to see you back.....

I often wonder about some that we haven't heard from in awhile.  Glad you are doing well.  As a caregiver to my loved one, I don't always have the best of answers to help folks, but do the best I can to help on this site.  Now that my loved one is 17 months out of tx(and doing GREAT!), he is interested in where I got my support to help him.  So now he tends to read over my shoulder here on CSN and offer advice for me to give someone.  I'm so glad he wants to participate in some way.  He wants to give back.

Congratulations on your new house...the start of a new beginning. Laughing

I, too, am a participant for Relay For Life as a Team Captain.  I actually started about a year prior to my loved one being dx because a close friend of ours had a rare cancer and fought hard, but lived a short life.....he wanted me to continue to raise money to help with the fight...just as he had.  I will never stop raising funds for this cause! It means a lot to me more than it ever has.  Glad you found the courage to particiapte.  There are many wonderful people that are involved with it and it can be very comforting.

Thanks for updating us...looking forward to hearing from you more often. Laughing

    Hi Tracy

I remember your fight well. If you were a boy scout I'd give you a merit badge for toughness. The second most disturbing thing about this sight is the new names that pop up. The best are the warriors that fought and won. I being a wimpy worrior am glad to be alive and abi normal.

    Enjoy the day
