CEA question about an old thread

in Colorectal Cancer #1

I had bookmarked an old thread where one of our members had listed her CEA for years and it jumped all over the place, tho she remained clear of cancer. I kept it because I always worry so much while waiting for my CEA results. 

I tried to access it today and it says the thread is not found. I don't remember who was the member, either. 

The thread was 'Increased CEA level' and the link was http://csn.cancer.org/node/186759   

Anyone know how to retrieve this?

    Hi PatchAdams,

    We're continuing to do some site maintenance and that may affect some posts that are more than several years old.  This may explain some of the errors. I'll look into it and give you an update once I have more information.

    Update on missing threads

    An update regarding the missing threads:

    The pre-2011 threads have just been republished on the CSN developer's site, and they are testing some added performance measures that should help improve the page loading speed. If everything goes smoothly with the test, all of the posts should be republished to the boards on Thursday.

    Previously, during the last major CSN forum overhaul, CSN had a static forum site with a temporary copy of 2+ yr old archives, available on the internet.   It saved new forum searchers a lot of grief over the year+ of its existance.

    UPDATE on old threads

    Was able to do some research and turns out that CSN has never had another site with archived content, that it possibly might be one of these other sites that publishes all public content from another website (can't remember the name for this).  All the old CSN posts are being restored.  These older posts were previously unpublished so we can see if it had an effect on CSN performance; they were not deleted.

    The URLs included something like CSN...beta/new, so it may have been for the developers then, but we could "see it" on the Google searches and link in.

    CEA and old thread

    I don't know if this will help.  The post wasn't mine, however, I am now 6.5 years ned and my cea has been all over the map most of that time.  I continues to be an indicator of absolutely nothing for me.  It was low when I was first diagnosed and has been up and down ever since.  Mostly between 1.8 and 5.0, it is quite random, usually 4. something.    I just ignore it as do my doctors.  I was 3A when diagnosed.  Surgery, chemo and radiation.
