Hey Ron,
Stability is great news. Yay Inlyta. I'm always one step behind you on this process. We're on the same path, so I hope I have good news too on my next scans May 1st.
I'm very happy for you!

Oh you "guys"...!! Now I am the one blushing..! Yes, I was a tad dissappointed that there was no additional shinkage.. and yes two Lymph nodes had minor growth... but my main Oncologist only spent a few minutes... yes Inlta is still working.. no, no need to escalate the doseage,, see me is 6 weeks.. go home and be happy.. all is good... Of course the other doctor did a thorough check up... breathing normal, no nasty anything to be found...
Actually, the Pizza will wait a few days... but it WILL happen...
Thank you all..!!

Good luck Ron,
Coincidentally, I thought of you as I was getting my motorcycle ready for a bath and an oil change. It looks similar to the one in your avatar on this site.
It's a 2003 Triumph Speed Four.
Ah, NBS, a Triumph Brit Biker..!! Way Cool..!!
Cheers..!!!

This just made my day, Ron!
I am so happy to hear your good news. I'll keep the good juju flowing and maybe, just maybe, in 6 weeks you'll have that shrinkage.
And what a treat to be serenaded by the beautiful and talented fox and Alexandra! Life is GOOD!!

Glad to hear your result and especially that you are feeling better. I get my first post IL-2 scan Monday 4/21 and get the results the same day.
Thanks again all..!! I guess I should give the rest of the story... True no growth or shrinkage in the Mets.. but two Lymph Nodes did grow slightly.. 2 and 4 MM respectively.. not a big leap in size.. My Doctor is not concerned.. of course not.. she is not the one with Cancer.. And true it is not much.. still tons better than the alternative.. Still I was really hoping for more shrinkage. Then the weight issue.. I knew I would get a stern talking to.. I lost another 8 pounds.. I am now down over 50 pounds post surgery... still in reality my weight is good.. but the fact that I keep losing weight is not good. Sorry to those that would like to lose weight... I am eating a LOT of food.. so it is not staying with me... I was advised to step up the Immodium and to add more fiber to my diet. I like the fiber idea more.. but will do both initially. And I think I will have a big steak... add some more fat to the diet... just a little bit more... next week, Pizza and beer..!!
I can not tell you how much I appreciate you all... and of course the staff at Stanford.. they treat me like a King..!!
Hang in there everyone..!! We are a team.. and we all fight together...

Ron,
So glad to hear your news is mostly good. I will mention one thing on the weight loss though it is a long shot. Has your doctor checked your thyroid? My Oncologist only checks specific things in my bloodwork which does not include thyroid function. It was from my annual physical with my GP that we found I was hyperthyroid which can cause weight loss even when you eat more. They would need to check your TSH, T3, and T4. It would be a shame to assume it is the cancer or treatment if it turned out to be unrelated.

Ron,
Just curious, is there a reason your oncologist didn't consider increasing the dosage? You're at 5mg 2x day, right?
At least you have the option to increase the dose.

Ron! Congratulations on the great results. I think you should indeed celebrate and enjoy a few more calories!
David, that's a good question about the dosage of Inlyta. I'm curious about that too. David let us know how your scans turn out. My husband had his today. It's been a very long day. Results next Tuesday. 1 year on Inlyta with fantastic results so far.
