Thank you for all the support!

Unfortunately, I have been told that my discussions here have not been appropriate and have been deleted. For this reason, I must say goodbye to all the friends who I have met here. I can no longer post on a site that does not allow free speech about the costs of health care. For me paying for health care means survival. But for those who are not effected by these policies, I suppose it is easier to silence the discussion, because it does not mean death to them. This makes me very sad, but determined to right these wrongs for people like me, who are sick and asked to pay more. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all of you for your support. Please know that you will all be in my prayers! God bless!

It makes me very angry to know that the previous discussion has been deleted.  I do not understand the thinking behind it.  Cancer is stressful, including the financial side of it.  You have been such a good contributor to this site and a supporter to everyone.  I hope you will rethink your decision to leave, but you must do what is in your heart.  Should we not hear from you again, I want you to know that I wish you well, as always, and will keep you in my prayers.  May God bless.

I echo Martha's thoughts. I read through the terms and cannot find where it says a person cannot discuss the financial burden cancer can represent. Can the moderator please clarify? Thanks.

Marynb, I hope you don't leave the site but do understand your reasons.

    Marynb.....

As others have said the finacial burden encountered after or during cancer treatment is as much a side effect as burnt skin, missing or non-working parts, and emotional roller coaster rides.......and even more so determines the course of recovery.

My dad used to always say to me, "its not what you say, its how you say it"

Although your posts have ALWAYS seemed well within line to me, is it possible that this is where they were coming from when considered not appropriate??????

Anyway, I do hope you continue to be a part of our discussions as you are inspiring to so many of us here and have a great deal of support to offer. Regardless of what you decide, I will always have you in my thoughts and prayers as you continue in this journey.

    Be well.......

    goodbye?

I am so sorry to see that your posts have been deleted.  This is unreal.  Seems like I've read other discussions about insurance, financial burdens, politics, etc. in this forum over the last 18 months that I have been coming here.

I have been thinking about you a lot recently - since your "whine" post and am so concerned about your physical and emotional well-being.  I hate to think of you leaving now.  I do understand your decision to leave a place that has censored your well expressed opinions but I hope you will reconsider.

I wish you and your daughter well.  You will remain in my thoughts.

That was Joanne and yes, she did die.

I will just say this.  I think everyone on this board is mature enough to agree to disagree in a civil manner over topics such as this when our opinions differ.

I am so sorry that you feel you have to leave this site. I understand your decision, but if you are able to read this, please reconsider. We still have more to offer each other for support. I have tried to private message you, but it looks like you may have already deleted your profile.

I wish you well, and hope to find you on another site at some point. I am also on a UK site which has a specific anal cancer group if that is of any help.

Wishing you all you wish yourself

    Liz

I seem to have stumbled into the middle of something as I have not been on the site for a few days; but I do want to tell you how much you are needed here and hope you reconsider.  I value your opinions and insight. Maybe everyone does not always agree but that's what life is all about.  If everyone thought and felt the same about everything it be a very boring place. You remain in my thoughts & prayers whether heard from or not.

I refuse to believe they did this on purpose. Something is really wrong here. I do not want to lose  touch. You are one of the best supporters and contributors we have. You are in my prayers. I want to know if you have lung mets. It is important for us to be there for each other. PLEASE don!t go:-(

    Love

I have been away from the site for awhile.  Did you delete the comments or did the site?

A hurtful comment was made to me regarding another topic, but I agreed to disagree.
