Steve Update (Best Friend's Hubby)
Hi all:
Got back Monday from Chatt. visiting Beki and Steve in their NEW HOUSE! It's sooooooooooooooo beautiful! Steve finished his rad. last Friday. Goes end of month for follow up scan. Looks great and feeling good. Cooked breakfast for us all three mornings! We partied all weekend. Our version of partying was fish fry Friday nite at their church; dinner with friends Sat. nite; and their younger son had us out Sunday nite for a cookout! We had a great time. They're having their open house and housewarming the first weekend in May and going to Hilton Head with older son and family and his in-laws in May; and then the older son wants to do a birthday party for his Dad in July and then our annual Labor Day Bash! One of his fellow Knights was diagnosed with mets to brain last Sept and is doing well. He and Steve take up the money at the fish fries during Lent. He, however is on chemo but finished rads. 7 months ago I saw him last Friday nite. Looks good except kinda has that ashen look but hey, was there taking up money so at least holding his own. Thanks for all the prayers and continued ones. Have a great weekend. God Bless!

So happy to hear you had a great weekend. I still am praying for Steve. I would love to go to a fish fry. The last one we had was at my sister, Donna's house and it was delicious. Jim caught the fish and she fried them. That is my idea of a party. It is encouraging to know there is life after the loss of your one true love.
