Immune deficiency

I found out I have CVID (common variable immune deficiency) and believe it could possibly be connected to the cervical cancer and invasive stage III anal cancer. I also have primary as well as secondary Lymphedema and Lung problems (Bronchiechitis). This illness is heriditary, not acquired.

I never tested positive for HPV.

If you are interested there is a lot written about it to be found online. I have a great doctor for it at Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC. Losing my hearing on the right side is how I wound up getting tested for it. It is associated with the lung disease found on my CT scans and Lymphedema (primary, not secondary) however if you have primary lymphedema and have treatment for cancer, you are likely to get secondary from those treatments.

Sincerely,

Sandy

    left side

Silly mistake. I totally lost my hearing on my left side, not my right. This disease (CVID) affects the mucus in your body. It is associated with many inflammatory diseases, particularly inflammatory stomach diseases and gastric cancers.

    Hi Sandy -

First, I want to say that when I was diagnosed with Anal Cancer last year, I found my way to this forum and you have been an amazingly constant bright spot for me during treatment and afterwards. Hopefully, I can now return the favor.

I was a volunteer with my local Sheriff's Office a few years ago and one of the things I did was put together a Pandemic Flu plan for them in case of the bird flu, which turned out to be swine flu. During that time, I came across some great studies on Vit D3 that talks about where it repairs and keeps the mucus membrane in our body both intact and fierce to fight off invaders. I am most certainly not a doctor, but am thinking that D3 may be of help with what you are dealing with.

Best wishes and lots of love and good thoughts headed your way !

    hi

Thanks for the kind words. My blood checks out well but maybe I could up it more. I take about 15000 in daily of d3 out of sheer fear of osteoporosis!
