Bummer
We have been trying to go fishing together all week, Just us two and Tebow of course, but the weather wouldn't cooperate. Today is perfect for fishing. Jim was excited this morning but we had to wait until 12:30 because Tebow had an appointment then. Was getting things ready when my mother called about coming to sit with Jim while I went to the groceries. She wanted to come at 1:30. I was telling her we were going fishing at 12:30 when he spoke up and said, "I am not going fishing." BUMMER! He has been sliding back this last couple days. Seeing ants yesterday and people waving outside the window this morning.
Tuesday the Hospice nurse said his lung capacity is still deminishing. I asked her if this upswing in energy and clarity was a sign he would live quite awhile longer; she said no. He could still go any day. So that kind of burst my bubble. However, Jim has proven the medical profession wrong in the past. I want to keep him around a long time but if it is not of quality he would not want to hang on. So I just pray God will intervene at the right time and I accept whenever that may be, even though I will be so sad to see him go.
Thank you all for the prayers. Knowing you care is a big help to me.
Thanks for listening, Debbie

debbie, saying prayers for you and jim! praying there is another day of fishing in his future. the docs don't always know what's going on in one's body, like you said, Jim, has proven them wrong before, so you may both get in that day of fishing. praying for the best.
God bless you,

Thinking of you both
Debbie have been thinking of you both and hoping that Jim was able to do more fishing. But I know what you are going thru and I know how hard it is. Several times my husband will tell me he wants to go somewhere and then changes his mind. Hospice nurse tells me the same thing and all we can do is take it one day at a time. Mine has become somewhat afraid of the night and this was something my mother was before she passed. Just remember to take care of yourself too.
Wishing you both peace and comfort -- Sharon

Hi Debbie
We have to put it all into Gods hand, if we live or if we die whatever my Lord wills. The blessing that Jim has most is you being there for him taking care and supporting him in his needs. The story of love is written in the pages of the Bible where is says for God so loved the world that He gave. God gave to us His Son that we might have life, and our caregivers give to us love & support while we go through the trials in life. What a blessing is the promise that the Son also gave to us, that one day we will all be with Him in His home. Where there will never again be sickness; Sorrow, suffering, pain, and Death.
God Bless all Caregiver like you

you both, Im sure theres a few more fish in his future, but if not I pray God hugs him and then gives him a fishing rod and points him to the most beautiful lake he has ever seen with fish that only we can dream of on this earth. God Bless you Both.

Thanks everyone for the
Thanks everyone for the encouragement. It helps alot. Jim still talks about fishing in the morning, but by afternoon he is to tired. He is getting more confused. Today he was very emotional and wanted to see his youngest daughter. She wasn't feeling weel but donned gloves and mask loaded up the kids and came to see him. He feels better now. Talked about squirrel hunting today. I told him I knew how to clean fish but I drew the line at squirrels. LOL One day at a time I guess. At least I have you my friends and God beside me.
Thanks and bless you all.
Debbie
