Updating my profile page
Aloha to all. This 78 year old survivor (age that is) and soon to be 79 decided to bring about his smiley face and story to my CSN family. I probably can lay claim to be the oldest in this H&N section.
I would like to extend my mahalo (thank you) to all you folks who have shared their experiences. I've learned a lot and very appreciative of the information. More so, I have found out that there are many others who have the same problems as me.
This is an outstanding group. There is no negativity and all I see is positive comments and support to all.
May God Bless You All

Well Debbie, there goes myCivilMatt said:Happy Birthday, soon!
Hey, you look pretty good. Send me a bottle full I need a dose.
Matt
Well Debbie, there goes my claim of being the oldest. When I reach that ripe old age of 79, I’ll be completing 16 years after treatment….and to the other Debbie, the picture is fuzzy so you cannot see my wrinkles (ha ha).
To my haole friend John from your local friend Johnny, it was my pleasure to have met you on this forum. It is like we are all pen pals. Think I told you that fishing is not my forte and the first to hit sack back in our younger days when we spent the night doing shore line fishing. I can’ believe that when I speak of my teenage years, that would have been more that 50 years ago. Would you believe I went on an overnight fishing trip in the Red Sea while stationed in northeast Africa?
Matt, back in my earlier years, I would have preferred to have a beer. It does not taste right anymore. Would you believe that even with this drinking and eating disorders and besides the brew my wife makes, I can now tolerate the two cans of boost I drink every morning.
For all the survivors and caregivers in this forum, let us continue to march and move forward.
Aloha!

Aloha!
You are the great person who organizes the survivors list each year!
The list of survivors was of such comfort to me (and my husband) as my husband started on this journey. So nice to be able to put a face with a name! Thank you for all that you do for the forum!

G’day to you Johnny
I love the picture my friend now I have a face to put with the name. I will be 58 this month something I did not expect to see but here it is. My brother is a lot like you he lives on an Island in Honduras called Utila, he is 68 and still climbing Mango and Avocado trees. I am always worried that he will fall out one day but he is just like a monkey up there. Something about the Island life that just makes you feel great, I am going to spend some time with him in June and can’t wait. All the best in life to you my friend.
God Bless and keep you in His tender care

Thank you for the responses. J4mie, I hope your husband had a favorable review when he saw the oncologist in December.
Nice hearing from you Tim. I googled the map section and seen that the island of Utila is small. I like island life and hope you enjoy it when visiting your brother. During my younger years, I really liked to climb, especially coconut trees. I won’t do it now. Also, hope you are doing as well as we can expect.
Aloha and God Bless

Hawvet- like Tim, now I get to see the face behind the fabled name. Your yearly roll-call is a staple, here, and I thank you for it. Less than a month I'll be 5-years out after my last Rad, and success stories like your's are what we all want to hear. Thank you.
