My PEG is gone

Just wanted to share!  I had it removed this morning.  Have not had food through it for 1 month.  No meds for a couple of weeks.

When I had it put in last Sept/Oct - I never thought this would happen.  Then, when I had the surgery for the 2nd cancer, and the esophagus reconstruction, I thought I would have to go slow, and have soft foods for months.  I had water for a week, and then anything!

    Hi Lornal

Happy happy happy for you to get this thing out of you, it is a pain in the back side but it is what helps keep me alive so I need to be thankful to have it. Don’t forget to keep exercising your jaw & neck, everyday as it will help to keep things moving.

    God Bless
