To day we celebrate 30 years of marriage! Because of our age difference Jim had asked me, at the beginning of our marriage,  if I realized he may not make it to 30 years. I said, sure we will. I am thankful for these 30 years with the love of my life.

This past week Jim improved so much he started planning fishing trips. Unfortunately, yesterday he started to go down again and today he has slept all day. He is getting confused again and needing pain meds more often. So far the pain is being controlled by the hydrocodone.

Please pray his passing is painless and peaceful when the time comes. I don't think I could bear to see him suffer.

    debbie and jim, congrats on 30 years!!  not many marriages make it that long these days so i'm very happy for you.  so sorry jim is not doing well.  I will be keeping you both in my prayers.  praying for peace and strength for you both.

    Praying his death will be painless for him and peaceful for you.  Know how much of a comfort you have been and still are to him no matter what happens.

    Debbie,

    I know at least part of what you are feeling and my heart is breaking for you. I hope Jim will rebound & have more good days again.

    Please don't hesitate to call Hospice for assistance, if even for a small break for yourself. You must take care of YOU, also.

    Congratulations on your 30 year milestone together. I shared Ron's life for 40 +.

    What a blessing 30 years together, and even better for all who believe eternity with Jesus where we will never get sick or die. I am not sure what type of fishing Jim will do in Heaven just hope I can meet Jim, John and Chef Daddy Mike there. Wow what a blessing just to dream about it and what it will be like.
