I bouced back to work in 11 days but.....I made the mistake of lifting my son who weighs 50 lbs.  Big no no and I feel it...

Don't lift anything for a while!

With a good attitude, rest hopefully everything will go just fine.

i have had two robatic surgeries and cannot say enough about how it hurt much much less, more like sore, BUT the trapped gas inside did hurt! I expected it, knew what it was so didn't freak out. It really helps to get up and move, walk it off (out).

Let us know how you are doing. You both will be in my thoughts and prayers.

The water helps in general and the walk help with the gas., talked it all slow and you will be amazed how much you recover every day..... Good advice from all above.
