Ugh, I got the flu and it's kicking my ****.  I've had a 101 fever for 10 days, sore throat, coughing, nauseua, I've lost 10 pounds, and missed 7 days of work. I have a CT scan set for today, I'll get results tomorrow.  All I do is sleep, and not very well, go from my bed, to my living room, to my office, back to bed, etc. Eating and drinking the best that I can. I woulnd't wish this on anyone!

    Sorry to hear that Buster

I get the flu shot every year . Last year I got the shot as usual but in November I came down with the flu. It was not the one I got the shot for. It was parainfluenza, usually found in kids. It hit me so bad that my heart was leaking troponin ,the heart attack enzyme. I spent a few days in hospital and was on a couple of different anti-biots before I started to pick up. Apparently parainfluenza produces few or short lived anti-bodies so there is no real way to protect against it. Flus are a serious danger to all of us who have immune systems either compromised by current chemo or wrecked by long term effects of chemo. I urge everone not to take flus lightly . Always seek medical advice and make sure they are aware of your situation. I hope you recover soon. Ron.

    C D bee

Some people terminate their nightmare viral infections with vitamin C infusions.  The author's flu story, bottom half of webpage.  IV C probably works best if one gets several infusions the first 16-24 hrs, but one WILL see a big change even with one good infusion, but probably relapse without some kind of follow up.  A practical point is when follow up with oral, megavitamin C and vitamin D3, perhaps other supplements can take over, and get someone symptom free without more IV C.

Also everybody else can get sick with some foreign "Andromeda strain", while my wife on IV vit C every ~4.5 days, 30,000-50,000 iu vitamin D, cimetidine, selenium MSC, a little zinc and various immune modulators, glides through without any visible effect.  She takes a lot of other supplements, too. However, I could see she had fought it too, by her blood test results, when this happened.

    Sorry Buster

Just remember if you get any worse go to the hospital, here they have several people with the flu in ICU and 3 deaths have been blamed on it in my little town, it isn't anything to mess with.

For everyone else, it isn't too late to get your flu shots, my first time ever for a flu shot this year and my husband finally got his today.  I got absolutely no side effects from the flu shot and they did such a good job with such a little needle I never even felt the thing go in my skin.

Buster, I hope you feel better very, very soon!!!!
