in Head and Neck Cancer #1

Hi all that responded. When I went to bed yesterday am(night owl) I was discouraged, as I hadn't had any responses. When I just checked now, I was blown away with all of the people that wrote to me with compassion/welcome and support.

I now feel like I have a family and am not alone. Since I can only sleep in day; it limits my contact with folks and this site is awesome. You all understand.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will be on this site alot from now on. I am homebound from my last surgery as it's been subzero weather where I live and can't drive yet; so this online support is great!

    We are all here to help and give support, just stay with us and keep posting, here you are safe to tell how you feel. We have all been there and we all get help and support from each other, think of it as one big family that you are now a part of.

    I'm glad you didn't get too discouraged the other night....and came back to check in again, and find that yes....there were answers to your original post.  You have been through so much....I'll bet there are others who will benefit from your experiences.....welcome home!!

    Adirondackgirl, it  may take a little time, especially since you post in the early hours while most are sleeping, but you WILL get replies!  we are a caring family here and we reply as soon as we read the post.  don't get discouraged someone will be there for you.  you are one of us now which makes you an important part of a very BIG FAMILY!!

    Glad you're back

    Don't give up. They will get back to you. People pop in and out all day, and I get on after work and my family is all asleep. I work 2nd shift.

    Thanks for the welcome, Hondo. I really am so glad I finally found this site. You are seem like one big family that is there for each other. That is what I've been missing. i'm scared of course that the cancer will return as it did(or they didn't find it) 3 times. Need support and encouragement while I try to 'live my life'.

    I so appreciate your welcome. Do you know of anyone that has lost their nose or sinsus due to cancer. I am scared of recurrence as have had 3(or they just missed it) and need support and encouragement.

    Would love to hear your story.

    Do these posts get read by everyone? Can you communicate privately with a person?

    Adirondackgirl,

    To reply to a person privately, just click on the words ( CSN Email ) in the left hand corner of the page in the top block. That will take you to the e-mail section. Type in the name of the person you want to send a message to and it will go privately to them. You have to be logged in to see the notice that you have a reply to your e-mail(s) when you visit the site.

    if u want 2 speak 2 a specifc

    if u want 2 speak 2 a specifc person, click on their name and that takes u 2 their page.  scroll to bottom of page and click on "send user a private message".  i'm glad you came back and hope you will hang around.  i've sent you 2 pm's.
