in hospital now
Aalthough the nursing staff and room are very nice, this has been a total nightmare.
Just horrible yesterday. I'm still recovering from it.
Short story. Basically put off my biopsy, food and meds to make me less dizzy missed first two meals. Only had button to push for pain which made me dizzier Was told more than once they were coming. Did not. Said they were sending for images from scans to do biopsy.
Then there were no orders for biopsy.
3:00 a guy comes in and asks if I have a disk with the images. No knowledge of me or my case. I demandedd to know what was going on. Started to cry and he left.
Got chest pains. Called for help. He looked at me in disgust. Asked some questions about pain. I was anxious????? Yes!!!
My nurse finally gave some Xanax. Tried to give me 3 whole pills. I repeated ionly take a tiny piece of one because I'm sensitive. Kept talking about what milligrams they were. I asked what we were waiting for? I have chest pain. I grabbed one broke into 1/8 and took it. Stop with the babble.
Damn.
Got first rad in brain without mask. Get new mask this A.M. and another rad. Lots of concern about brain
Btw they biopsy of hip unstead of lung. Less invasive.

Hi catluver
Sorry to hear of all the hell you are going through, but hang in there and keep asking question. If you don’t like the answer ask again and tell them to give it to you in laymen terms, it’s their job. Will continue to keep you in pray that some of your pain will subside and you can get some rest.

Hey lady !
I hope today goes way smoother for you. Yes things get insane in the hospital. Nature of the beast some days. Is there anyone that can be beside you throughout this ? I would have someone bring in a written med list....including things you are allergic to or sensitive to. This is way too overwhelming for just you to handle. And having someone else asking questions to ensure everything goes like clockwork for you would be fantastic. You are in my prayers and thoughts. Take a deep breath....and go with the flow. Hugs sent ! Katie
Also I'm thinking they have you on a morphine pump ? And yes being sensitive to meds will make you feel dizzy and off. Please let us know what the biopsy turns up.

Ask for side effects of every medication
Hi catluver:
Sorry about what you went through. When you get medications, ask for print-out of side effects and let them know your are very sensitive to the med. I even got to a point to state that I would be responsible for taking less medication than ordered. Again the nurses only listened to the doc's orders to do their jobs.......
Cheer up and will pray for you.
Olivia
