I went back and forth about posting this. Want to respect your privacy but also wanting you to know that you have friends here, who understand. Hopefully it's all going as well as can be expected and we know you'll seek us out when your ready.
Take care.

thank you for your concern,
I have good news and bad news. The good news is her blockage has become unblocked. Her short term prognosis has improved. The bad news is both of her lungs are filling up with fluid. The doctors seemed very reluctant to drain the fluid. She is very weak and tired. She barely eats. The drs. still think she may only have months left. They want to send her home because the blockage is gone, but I can't take care of her at home by myself. I am so confused.

Can you afford a nurse sometimes insurance will cover part of it. Do you have any family that you can rely on for some help.

Hi,
You might want toHi,
You might want to inquire about a Hospice Home where she will receive comfort care. Even if hospice came to your home, they aren't there all day, just a hour or so each day, so you or another relative would still have to be her full-time caregiver. That's a major problem with our health care system, they don't care that you have to work and that we often don't have close family members to care for the ill. The hospital's social worker should be able to provide you guidance for assistance.
Take care,
Cynthia

Home Health
I am so sorry that this has come your way. What an emotional roller coaster it must be.
I know how hard this can be for you and the entire family. Have you had a chance to talk to the chaplain or someone else about this. Sometime they can be a very good resource. Another choice may be 211 (if it is offered in your area).
This may be a hard subject to wrap yourself around. A short term nursing facility that offers hospice may be another place to start. This is sometimes covered under your insurance or state support of some kind. We had to find such a place for my mother. Family assisted to make this a more attractive option for her by offering frequent visits and social support such as outings.
Peace to you,
Art
