R.I.P. ToBeGolden
Friends,
I just got off the phone with Rick’s wife Arlene and she said Rick Passed away in October of last year. That was just a short time since his last post in September.
I told her how special a member of the H&N forum he was and how much we loved his participation and I spoke of how I loved the stories of Peanut his Golden Retriever.
She mentioned how he continued on his software development till the end (he was always busy doing something). Rick was also a Phd, owned a number of patents, and was a writer.
By this time we were both weepy, I again acknowledged what a special member of the H&N forum he was. She responded with a heartfelt thank you to all of us.
Matt

I don't know why, but
even knowing how terribly sick he was....I'm always surprised (not shocked), but surprised when I hear we've lost one of our own.....Thanks Matt for keeping up on him, and letting us know.
RIP Rick....you will be missed. This is his web page:

Thank you Matt
Prayers sent for his family. As I read your post my heart sunk once again. Most times we never ever meet face to face. But we get awfully close to people through our site here. Rick was one of those that knew how hard the fight could get, and was willing to continue to share. As many, many others of our fallen friends. God's speed Rick. Katie

Tough news....
That's heartbreaking. He was a wonderful person on here and gave us a lot of valuable advice. I wondered from time to time how he might be doing. Prayers for his wife.

He definitely fought the good fight.
sounds like he was still doing what he loved, and went out on his terms.
