I took NED to Disneyworld
This past week my husband and I spent a long weekend at Disneyworld. It will almost be five years from the day I heard the news that I had stage 3 breast cancer. I wanted to celebrate so I asked for a button and instead of putting " cancer survivor" I chose to write 5 years NED ( eventhough it has only been about 3.5 years since I finished all treatment I just thought I'd round up to 5). I thought it would be nice to write something that only those of us in the cancer community would know. I received hugs from Disney cast members when I told them the meaning of NED and I witnessed a few smiles from park guests who knew the meaning of NED as well. The other people who saw my button just thought I was celebrating a 5 year old boy's birthday. Love Surf

We stayed on property at Bay Lake Tower ( we are DVC too in California). It was so wonderful to walk to and from the Magic Kingdom. It was different doing Disney without kids we took our time and didn't rush. We were able to enjoy some excellent dinners at Be Our Guest (magic kingdom) and The Brown Derby (Hollywood Studios) we saw the fireworks every night ( magic kingdom (twice) Epcot and Fantasmic). I can't wait to go back. Have fun in July. Have you ordered your magic bands yet? They are really conveinent and you can now schedule your fastpasses before you go. Love Surf
