bump on tongue - LUNG CT RESULTS

 3 nodules on lung(s).  1 at top & 2 at bottom, or vise versa.  don't remember if all was on one lung or both.  calling back tomorrow with a calmer mind that can think.  they said f/u in 6 months.  will post ahgain f i hear something different tomorrow.

just got back from ent. 

 

just got back from ent.  heres what was said:

bump on tongue - nothing to worry about but we'll watch it to see f it grows

water & food stay at back of throat instead of going down throat - there is scar tissue there that keeps it from going down.  said its like trying to get it thru a funnel.  solution:  going to do a ct 2 c where the carotted artery is then do a throat dialation and cut the scar tissue to open the throat more.  has 2 make sure he doesn't cut that artery.

i learned that when they did my neck disection they removed the right side of my thyroid

stoma bleeds  -  stoma has been bleeding for no reason.  stuff in the stoma comes directly from the lungs, unless the stoma has been scratched, but we don't see a scratch.  therefore, he ordered a lung cancer screening which includes a ct of lungs (cost $99 out of pocket, not bad i guess) .  he is more concerned about this than the bump on tongue.

i'm not in a panick at this time.  i'm just telling myself this is just to be safe.  i'm actually feeling pretty good since the tongue bump is nothing to worry about.  i was so scared....lol.  thank you all for your replies and advice, i greatly appreciated it!!

    Well, congrats on the bump only being a bump..., stings for the other, but better than could be I suppose.

    Wonderful news on the

    tongue bump....

    Your stoma might just be irritated, too....those are tender tissues just inside the stoma....and with all the cleaning that takes place, I'd think that could cause some traces of blood.  Glad to hear you're taking the safe approach, tho.  And VERY happy to hear you're not getting into a panic.

    The bump is just a bump - yay!!

    I am so glad that the bump is just a bump.  We are all praying the lung thing is also nothing.  When the time comes we will also pray for your doctor's steady hands!  Laughing  I hope you can take comfort in all of the prayers going up for you and your panic can stay away.  Peace to you my dear.  Have a great weekend.

    Hi Debbie

    Just another day in the life of cancer patient, up and down and up and down and round and round we go. I am glad to hear that he thinks the bump in nothing to worry about. For now all we can do it to keep praying about the lungs that it too is nothing to worry about.

    Hi DJ

    Glad for the good news.

    I have a buddy and his name is Bump and just like your bump, he is also nothing to worry about. We do tend to worry more about things out of the norm after battling cancer.

    Celebrate the long weekend.
