Eims, I haven't had itchy hands but I developed a sweet tooth, immediately after my neph.  In fact, hubby says I wanted "something chocolate, anything chocolate" waking from anesthesia.  I don't remember that but I believe it.  I have never in my whole life had a sweet tooth, now suddenly I have a whole mouthful of them.  It's so bizaar but doctor said it's real, not imagined.  I've gained 7 lbs in the 7 months since my surgery...that's a lot of chocolate molten lava cake with ice creme...my guiltiest pleasure of all!!  If only a dentist could remove a sweet tooth

Hi Twinthings.  I hate to play the role of Scrooge this time of year but I feel compelled to respond to your sudden development of a sweet tooth. 

I have spent the last year researching both normal and abnormal (cancerous) cell metabolism - trying to determine what the optimum diet for cancer sufferers should be.

The most important discovery I have made is that all sugars - regardless of origin - are the very worst thing that we can consume if we are trying to fight cancer (or prevent it taking hold in the first place).  There are countless peer-reviewed studies that not only underscore this sobering fact but can explain exactly why in gorry detail.

I have prepared a document that attempts to explain all this - and so much more - in layman's terms.  You may not agree with my ultimate conclusions but I really think you owe it to yourself to read it.

Yeah you are right Fox!  if the right palm itches money is coming in, the left palm money is going out. If it was the left palm you were supposed to touch wood to protect you, which is where the touch wood superstition comes from. Sadly! I never seem to get that sort of warning when my money disappears out!

I should probably read what you have, although, I already know I should cut out, or at the very least, limit my sweets.  Knowing and doing are not the same thing though, are they?  I use to believe when you know better you do better, but I'm losing faith in that theory.  I have never had an addiction, ie drugs or alcohol, but this need for sugar is pushing the envelope.  I have got to get a grip!
