Votrient
Hello Ladies..!! I do not see a single post here with a listing of new treatments... BUT, I just read on another forum that there is a Clinical Trial using Votrient on other Cancers. Votrient is a failry new drug that is mostly used for Kindey Cancer. So here is some good news.. there are 3 women on this trial that have advanced O.C. One woman was out of options and fading... but she positiviely responded to Votrient and is doing better.. That is the "reader's digest" version... But maybe you will soon have another weapon. FYI, Votrient is in pill form and pretty easy to take, the S.E.'s vary, but some (many.?) find the S.E.'s no big deal. However Votrient can be very nasty on the Liver for a few patients. Oh and should the results continue to be good, Votrient is already an FDA approved drug, but you would have to get it off label...
Oh yes, and my scan results today showed that all of my Mets have major shrinkage..!! Go ahead.. joke at my shrinkage.. heh..
Stay Well All..!!

Thank You Ladies..!! I really like when I hear of anything that holds promice in the Cancer world. Plus I was on Votrient, and from what I have read here about some of your treatments, I suspect you would be better off (S.E. wise) on Votrient than most if not all of the other treatments you go through..
Alex, I did not recognise you behind those Foster Grants..!
And thank you all for letting me slum over here... some of your posts are awesome..! (yes I sometimes get bored in the Kidney section..).
Happy Holidays All..!! I wish you all health..!!
Ron
