Still NED after 25 months
Time to check in with some good news...
"Our" Story so far... husband diagnosed Nov 2011 with stage 4 colon cancer (2 mets to liver and one in the peritoneum). Resection of tumor and mets, 6 months chemo (oxi + xeloda), 7 months temp ileostomy, successful takedown. Last CT in Aug 2013 found a suspect area in the peritoneum wich fortunately (after much turbulance and one more surgery) was declared NO METS. Since then wait, check and see...
Today was time to see...
Husband had CT on Monday and today we went to the app with the onc-doc. All clear. No evidence of this damn disease! CEA 0,8 (was 95 at the start) and eveything else fine. HURRAY... next bloodwork in March 2014 and next CT in August 2014. So... merry christmas even for us atheists ;-)... and HURRAY we now can start planning for our travel to India (the 3rd one) for 4 weeks in April 2014.
A happy hug from Cologne, Germany and a bunch of best wishes for all of you
Petra (perhaps a bit confused after 2 glasses of sparkling wine...)

That is excellent news!
I'm so happy for you and your husband. What a relief that must be for you both.
I would say those two glasses are well-deserved...and perhaps even a third!
Big hugs! AA
