Seeking info about Clinical trial for metastasis (mets) called Rigosertib
Hey, I just started this clinical trial I was dx with mets to the lungs about a year ago. Primary was Tonsil
I was wondering if anyone here knows anyone who has taken this drug in previous clinical trials the drug / chemo is called Rigosertib.
Rigosertib works by blocking cell division in cancer cells and causing them to die
it is being used for metastasis of
Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Anal Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Where is the trial? How are you feeling with this drug? Every night I pray that God leads us to a cure for all cancer! I know that day will come, and your participating in a trial just might bring us one step closer!

This is some of the most informative info I have found on this site. If this works it sounds like it might be a "miracle" drug for many people.

The trial I am in is in Columbus, OH at The James Cancer Center. However i think it is available at about 4-5 other locations.
i'm in day 4 of the trial so far so good, I wish I knew when I might start expereiencing soem of the side effects. I imagine like most it will take 7 to 10 days for the negative side effects to "kick-in". from what I read is most of the side effects are urilogical in nature, so I have been drinking lots of water.
I really hope this drug not only works for me but for others where all other options are exhausted.
