1yr anniversary. And another checkup!

in Kidney Cancer #1

I took my blood test and chest x-ray today, but then they called me back later and said I need to come in tomorrow for a kidney ultrasound? Is this normal for a 1 year post op checkup? I go to see the doc on Friday.

 

I have been training alot for the past few months, getting ready for my attempt at an Ironman in May 2014. Things are going well, only some occasional pain in the operation area if I compress that area too much.

 

 

Still lurking, read here almost every day. I don't post much, but be assured, I am with you guys and gals all the time, in my thoughts and wishing all the best.

    Rapture,

     

    Usually they do a CT scan for 1 year which is much more than a Kidney Ultarasound. My worry if any is not that they are doing a Kidney Ultrasound, but why are not they doing more. I assume with only an Ultrasound that you started with a good pathology and a very small tumor. Chime back if my assumptions are incorrect.

    It was stage 2 (3.5cm), grade

    It was stage 2 (3.5cm), grade 3, clear cell.
