I haven't been around in a while.  No particular reason, just everything in general.  I'm a caretaker and stumbled on this site about a year ago.  Brief overview.  Wife was diagnosed with Stage IIIA back in Dec. 2012.  After 28 rounds of chemo/radation, then colon resection, then 12 rounds of FulFox we are done.  She just had her ileostomy takedown and is due to come home today.  What a journey!!!!  We made it though.  I couldn't be prouder of her.  Never did I heard her complain (although she did give cancer a piece of her mind now and againTongue Out).  Always put her best foot foward and stayed positive.  I have come to one conclusion through all of this... She is my hero.  If it sounds like I'm bragging.  I am.  Still have some hurdles to overcome.  Scan in Febuary to ensure all is clear.  Although her blood work is looking great.  I feel like I can breathe again.

Well, I hope everyone has a blessed holiday season.  God bless you all and take care.  I'm sure I will peak in again sometime... Laughing

    Such great news!

Thanks for coming back and letting us know.  You have every right to brag about your wife...cancer is one of the hardest experiences most of us can go through (for patient and caregiver alike).  To make it through with a positive state of mind is a big achievement.

Keep us posted on how her scans go in February!

    Hugs to you both~AA
