Bleeding post D&C and fear of diagnosis
I have been through a roller coaster few weeks. Abnormal bleed, ultrasound (2.5cm uterine mass ? Fibroid), hysteroscopy and D&C, going to the consultant this eve for results. I am 53 and have a beautiful 12 year old daughter and wonderful husband.
My main concerns at the moment are: 1. Yesterday (7 days post D&C) I started bleeding quite heavily and this is still happening. Has anyone else experienced this post D&C? 2. I am very worried about the results.
Anyway a big thank you to everyone on this site. Having read your posts I feel as ready for the meeting as I can be and have a long list of questions. I will also be taking my husband along to make notes.
i will post again after this evenings appointment.

post D&C bleeding
This is exactly what happened to me. it was almost a week after the D&C that i started to bleed regularly. I had the D&C for the same reasons as you abnormal bleed ultrasound and potential fibroid/polyp. Mine ended up being stage 1 uterine cancer.
but don't automatically assume anything until you talk to the doctor. If there is something susupeicious a few items to be in control of:
will we engage a gyno/oncologist. When i had my consultation and she told me the situation the dr already had a conversation with the gyno/oncologist, determined what tests i needed to do so the ball was totally in control ahead of me finding out
will they do any base line cat scans/blood tests? That is helpful to insure they know what is going around incase you get this diagnosis.
i also had many blood tests.
they also chose forme to have a colonoscopy given the history of my family.
The key is to bring someone with you even int he wiating room, my husband came. When i heard the words i asked the dr if i could get my husband as my mind was going ina ping pong fashion.
please post after your appt as many of us have just gone through the same recently
Note I was 54 at dignosis last November.

I bled until surgery
Diagnosed In Aug 2013 with Uterine Cancer (Endometrial Adenocarcinoma)
I had the Davinci hysterectomy on Oct 9th.(removed a 5cm tumor that has envaded more than 50% of the uterine wall)
I bled until I had surgery. My surgeon said it was normal for my diagnosis, and it ceased after surgery.
I'm sorry you had to find this site, but welcome.
Know that there are many wonderful Warriors that can and will be here for you.
Hugs and best wishes

Very relieved and thankful
Well I have been to see the consultant this evening and he gave me the histology and visual result from my D&C. Normal looking endometrium, benign polyp, some endometrial atrophy no malignancy. I almost couldn't believe him.
i am glad that I have posted and hope that my experience reassures some people that the news is not always bad. Just need to sort out this post D&C bleeding, but I can deal with that, I guess I just need to take it a little easier whilst the ripped off polyp site heals.
i send my best wishes to all of the lovely people on this site.
