Happy Thanksgiving
On this Thanksgiving Eve, Marcia, myself and of course Socrates would like to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving. We have a much to be thankful for.
To the victors, continued NED's. To those in the midst of the battle, continued victories and future NED's. And to those we have lost to this beast, prayers and peace to the families.
Positive thoughts and prayers to all...

Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving. I will enjoy my meal, with gravy! I can't even remember who cooked last year, I was recovering from surgery. Talked to my sister this morning and we have the same menu's for tomorrow, she is usually more creative and I usually stick to Mom's tried and true recipes. Thankful for life!!

Thanksgiving
T,
Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
I’ll be spending it at my parent’s home in Sweet Home with (at last count) 50 other relatives, it is a medium size event this year.
I have met a lot of great people on the H&N forum and I wish each of them and there caretakers the best thanksgiving they can. Where no 2 members taste the same.
I’ll have some abi-normal tasting Turkey, please.
Enjoy, enjoy, I will.

Happy thanksgiving
I'd like to wish all of you a happy thanksgiving as well. My dad had just finished treatment about 1 month before thanksgiving 2 years ago (Seems like yesterday) so I am greatful once again to sit at the thanksgiving table with him (and be able to watch him eat) and enjoy our meal as well as every other day with him and our family.
It sill amazes me that one day you could be diagnosed with cancer then endure such grueling treatment, get thru it but your ability to swallow and or eat is taken away Or you have to fight for it every day, every meal I shake my head as I write this but I truly have a different sense of thanks for so many things these days and a great deal of respect for all faced with this challenge. This is a wonderful group of people with so much to be thankful for.
i wish you all a happy thanksgiving

Much to be thankful for
this is the first Thanksgiving since 2009 that I wasn't either ill, being treated for something or recovering from something.
IT FEELS GREAT!!!!!!!!
I give thanks for my health, my family, my CSN family and my friends this year.
I actually get to do a turkey this year, and I can actually EAT it!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Back at ya T
I am thankful for all my friends on this great site. I know it is a farce to say I don't wish anymore, but reality tells me we will make many more friends with people and their venture down their battleing path. A guy I work with just brought his wife home for her remaining days because she is about to lose her fight with cancer. Certainly I am thankful for my victory but it is often overidden with sadness for those not as victorious.
In a few hours I will be thankful I am bigger than any of my grandkids so I can bump them off the bigscreen and their video games at my dughters house so the big kids can watch some football.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.................

You truly are a life line to me

Happy thanksgiving
We have a lot to be thankful for today- as said in previous posts those of us still NED HAVE A LOT TO be thankfull for. I remember last year at this time in midst of battle with chemo and radiation going to our familly gathering- a lot of your children and young parents. They were worried about the radiation leaking out of my body and affecting everyone at the table- I assured them there was no chance of that but made me feel uncomfortable knowing they were concerned. I remember I could not eat almost anything and everything smelled so good. I felt sorry for myself. I thought I would never get through the battle. Christmas dinner was the same - an event usually held at my house with 20 familly members that we scaled down to my wife, two grown children and myself. We cooked a nice meal but again I couldn't eat it. The reason I mention this is because we really have a lot to be greatfull for. A lot of us will not be able to eat traditional dinners for a long long time if ever. But we adapt. We change , we are thankful to be around familly and friend especially at the hollidays. Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday- the food is part of it but the familly coming together watching football and talking about stories past and present is what make it the best holiday for me. So for all my fellow warriors who are in the same boat that I was in last year at this time be assured next year at this time you will be in a much better place, and those of you who can nto enjoy solid food no longer, have an extra scoop of ice cream in your smoothie today - happy thanksgiving to all my fellow warriors new and old,
Ralph
