They say you cant go home again
but I know that does not apply to my CSN home. Its obivous that I have not posted in a long time, although Diane keeps me up on whats going on and her Facebook updates as well.. Well for those that know or rembember me I am doing fine and recently received NED in early November. For those that have not met me I was dx with base of tongue stage 4 back in April of 2012 so I jumped on the CSN bus with my friend P51 and off we went picking up many new friends on our journey. We were also greeted by the most gracious and kind hearted folks I have ever met during the worst time in my physical life. I wont mention names because I would not want to leave any Angels that came to Diane and my rescue off the list. Well after 33 RADS and 12 chemos 3 Cisplatin and 9 Eributux and some tough but doable times I made it. Suffered anxiety and depression after treatment ended but seem to have it under control now. So to all those that are fighting this Demon called Cancer theres hope so hang in there. For those who have completed their treatments I pray on going NEDs for all. And our sympathies to the brave friends that God chose to take them out of the cancer. So again thanks for letting me back in the CSN home and we hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas. Doug and Diane

Nice check-in & update
ditto1,
Reading about you and Phrannie driving the bus brought me out of the “lurking” closet, the way you two were driving; making treatments was a miracle and something I wanted to be a part of.
I am glad to hear a NED Christmas ornament will be hanging from your tree (that is a good idea).
Your Oregon friend,
Matt

I was this close _____ last night to posting a thread to see if anybody had heard from Mr. and Mrs. Ditto.....and lo.....here you are posting. I had been thinking hard about you two for the last 3 days. It's great to hear that you're doing so well, Doug....we were pretty good bus partners, huh? You gave me so much support, even when you were feeling like schmidt, and it probably hurt to type...you were right there lifting me up....I'll never forget, that's a fact.
I hope you guys have a wonderful holiday season.....this year we'll be tasting the turkey and dressing, not that we didn't enjoy food last year, but ya gotta admit, it was all texture and damn short on taste.
Hugs to both of you...
