cancer is back
I saw my onc today and got the results of my biopsy. Unfortunately it came back positive. I have two small lymph nodes that are behind my stomach. They are small and localized. We are going to do Doxil next. Fortunately I am not out of options yet I am going to do the chemo then possibly radiation then maybe removal of them down the road. What is anybody's experience with Doxil.

Chris I am very sorry.
I understand too well how upsetting it is to find out about a recurrence. Let's hope that it's just a temporary setback on your road to recovery and Doxil will take care of it and put you right back into remission. I don't have personal experience with Doxil, but there are many others who will chime in.
Stay strong my dear,
(((Hugs)))

I'm so sorry!
I, too, am dealing with two small lymph nodes harboring cancer. I can tell you I am angry, frustrated, scared and tired of all this. I don't have experience with doxil.. I started on carbo/Gemzar last week. So far, it hasn't been too hard on me. I am wishing the same for you.
i am hoping your chemo will knock the nodes out and you won't have to proceed with radiation and more surgery.

Hi Chris
Sorry about yourHi Chris
Sorry about your news. I totally understand how you are feeling as, I too, am looking for another treatment. I had Carbo/Taxol initially but the cancer returned quickly. The doctor now recommends (PLD/Doxil/Caelyx). I hope you get others chirping in who have had experience with this drug as I'm also very interested. Of course, we must keep in mind, that everyone reacts differently but I believe there will also be some common factors.

I am so sorry that you've had a recurrence. I myself have no experience with Doxil but am hoping and praying that it kicks your cancer's butt!
Hugs,
Kelly
