Avemar for Colon cancer?
Hello, my name is James, and my mother was recently diagnosed with Colon cancer... and I'm truly terrified.
She already suffered from esophageal cancer 2 years ago, and they said she was really lucky to survive it (they removed her esophagus), but she had to endure a lot of pain because of that cisplatin therapy and other very aggressive chemiotherapy. Now she's really too tired to fight against cancer a second time, and she doesn't want to cure herself anymore.
I don't want to lose her, so I'm checking for all kind of alternative therapies. I've did some researches on the internet, and I've found some herbs and other drugs that help fight cancer by boosting the immune system, and that some people even survived thank to those therapies only.
I've found this Avemar http://www.my-lifespan.com/avemarimmunebooster.html as a specific therapy for colon-rectal cancer: they claim it improves survivability and has no side-effects, and I was thinking about treating her with that, as I know she's not willing to submit to another full set of chemio/radiotherapy cicles.
I desperately need to know if this thing really works: in the above site they wrote a lot of scientific data wich looks believable, but I'm scared it could be another "magic" herb that actually does nothing. Do anyone has ever tried it? Can you please help me, or just give me some advice? Thank you!

Sorry
Sorry to hear of your mother's diagnosis and you have every right to be terrified. I'm not able to help you with your question, but like the post above, you might get more people to give you there experiences. Hope your mother does well.

I have been taking...
...avemar for a few months now and my father in law for 13 years for an inoperable prostate cancer. This is a supplement, meaning it is used with other therapies. You can not expect it to heal you by itself. It "only" boosts your immune system.
if you wanna look into other alternative treatments email john23. He tried Chinese herbs. But in my opinion you have to combine this with conventionals meds.
I wish you and your family the best possible outcome.

I've been on Oncomar, the pill form
I've been on Oncomar off and on for a few years now. For me, it helps slow progression down but I've not been able to get rid of the cancer totally. I still have to use chemo or better yet surgery to get rid of any tumors.
Sorry to hear about your Mom. I hope she gets some treatment. You know, that colon cancer chemo is usually fairly well tolerated. There's a pill form on 5-FU the main colon cancer chemo drug, that is really doable. Irinotecan instead of oxaliplatin (similar to cisplatin) is good, just watch the dose because the diarhea can be really bad. Many of us work will undergoing treatment and don't lose our hair. I don't want to make it sound like a walk in the park, but it is better than some regimens.
Maybe if she sees it's not as bad, she'd be willing to give it a try. Good luck to you, Traci

Thank you, thank you very
Thank you, thank you very much for all the comments, I am still so much confused, but I'm going to order this Avemar soon and I will try it... I was thinking about combining it with Vitamin C therapy, but I don't know if I need it inoculated or if common tablets can work too...

There is a person on this board who's wife has been on daily IV Vitamin C for some time. My naturopath suggested twice weekly which got expensive. If you are not in the U.S., it's possible to do it yourself. While the IV Vitamin C did not eliminate the cancer for me, I felt really good while on it. Good luck!

Tried Avemar
Hi James,
Your concern and efforts for your Mother are wonderful and I'm sure she appreciates it. I did try Avemar in 2007 for about 6 months. I had my worst recurrance during this time and the stuff taste horrible. I took it just as instructed, but it didn't help. The only thing that did help was making a major change to my diet (no sugar or white foods-potatoes,flour,etc.) and Cellquest. It is a supplement that does boost your immune system. I drank 1/2 bottle (8 oz.) twice a day; it taste bad, but not nearly as bad as Avemar. I took it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach...waited 45 minutes before having anything else to eat or drink; I took it again at 3pm. when my stomach was empty again and waited 45 minutes again before anything by mouth. It is expensive but was worth it. It also neutralizes the acid in your system which is what you need to fight cancer. I took it for 5 years and have been clean for almost 6 years.
I fought cancer with all the chemo available at that time and it did not work. I decided to fight it my way and refused anymore chemo. I hope your Mother finds something that will work for her. Thanks for being so helpful to her. Keep up the good fight!

My Mom used Avermar, but I honestly am not sure if it really helped her at all. The taste was awful (to her) but she would gulp every day a cup of it down. But I really don't know if it helped her. I wish your Mom and you strength, patience. I wish I knew you more, as I would talk you into telling your Mom to fight. While I understand her tiredness of it, but....she should fight...imho.

Tried Avemar
I'm replying to inform you I've just received my Avemar shipment, and my mother just started the therapy. She just started it (just 4 days), but she says she does feel a little better. She's taking her chemio too (she finally convinced herself), and she says that Avemar helps reducing chemio side-effects for a while when she takes it, so at least it's helpful.
Thanks agan for all your replies.0
