Trying to eat "healthier"? This is obscene if true!!!!!
www.foodconsumer.org/newsite/Nutrition/Food/chicken_products_1023130622.html
"What's really in chicken products? You don't want to know"
(and the rest of our food is equally as healthy:ie GMO-if you ask the FDA)
None of this should be "news" ;just a good article putting it all trogether if anyone is unaware of what's been going on in the American food supply. This is just a mere example of the poison we are eating. Wonder why younger and younger people are coming down with illnesses.....Since DX i've tried to stay away from red meat, favoring chicken instead, while of course increasing consumption of fruit and vegetables (that haven't been too pestisized)Now what!!!!!.....
If you think about it, the air most of us breath isn't even safe anymore, hasn't been since before Rachel Carson (remember her?hint.....Silent Spring)

Yikes! This reminded me ofYikes! This reminded me of lyrics by the band Barenaked Ladies:
"Chickity China the Chinese chicken
You have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin'"This article makes me want to become a vegitarian and to grow my own veggies.
Yup, no wonder we're all getting sicker in this country....thanks FDA!

Healthy Food
We planted our own garden over the last two years. We know what has gone into the soil, what plants we have planted that are heirloom and non GMO, we know they are as organic as one can get.
We were harvesting 40lbs a week out of our garden for 3 months. We canned and froze a boat load of veggies. We traded veggies for Rabbit and Chicken that were plant fed. IS this perfect? No, we limited our risks to commercial poisoned food. We eat zero boxed, prepared foods. No Fast foods. No commercial candy. We joined a food Co-Op. (Bountiful Basket) It gives us fresh inexpensive produce when we can not grow produce in the winter and spring.
Over three years I have dropped 60 lbs. I am now walking the trails and moving at around 7 mins a mile. My wife is walking about 4-5 miles a day at less then 9 min a mile. She has also lost weight and looks better then ever.
Yes, we must watch what we eat! We are the cancaries of the human race. We are easily poisoned by commercial foods and our immune system is suspect. By strengthening our immune systems we have a better chance of fighting off cancer.
Is this a Win All? No this is fighting Cancer in every avenue that we can. So Far, I am doing OK with the battle. Plus I get to eat great food all year long! (Not a bad thing either.)
Best Always, mike

Today I ran the dogs 7 miles in the coastal montains in SoCal. We got up to two 20 something guys running the trails. Not bad for a 6 year battle, stage four, over 50 cancer fighter! They told me they were trying to lose me on the climb. 1.5 miles climbing 1500 feet. I just smiled and told them to have a great run. We stayed together and chatted the rest of the run. A great day!
Best Always, mike
PS I do not always feel this good. I am taking the win, and going with it. The dogs and I had a quick lunch, and crashed. I am sure the 20 somethings went to work. lol
