Prayers
I have not posted for a long time for a variety of reasons. I am a 4year survivor of breast cancer. I went through a lumpectomy, that turned into something else and I had a double mastectomy. Went through chemo, radiation and diep flap reconstruction. Our family was thrilled when I was "better". That same year, 2009, my sister Jill was diagnosed with breast cancer. She had a lumpectomy and radiation. However, sixmonths later it was in her liver. She fought a courageous 3year battle and died on October 8th. We are heartbroken, but in her honor, I am posting this. Two sisters diagnosed, one lost her battle.
She is my hero,
Jean

I'm very sorry
I'm very sorry for what you've been through and then your sister's dx and losing her so soon.Cancer is in my family.Mom Niece, me and my sister. It's hard to deal with. I was dx in 2009 and my sister in 2012. My sister had cancer in both breasts and 2 different kinds. She had a double masecetomy.I had DCIS non invasive and had a lumpectiomy but some scares since. My mom survived 60 years(single masectomy) and my niece(double masectomy).A 10 year survivor.
Thoughts and Prayers to you and your family. Both of you fighting at the same time had to be hard. My sister is my only family member left.Parents and another sister have passed away, And we both are survivors of this beast.
