I would call and find out, but in the meantime remember until a biopsy is done, nothing can be sure.  Yes the PET/CT scan can show possible cancer, but biopsy is needed to confirm.  My husband was diagnosed with laryngeal cancer in 2010 followed by radiation, chemo and surgery.  Then in 2012 the H&N specialist found a tumor at the cervical of his esophagus.  Once again treatment, but no surgery.  Then 4 months later after a PET/CT scan, it was found that he had some very small nodules in his right lung.  These had shown up on previous PET/CT scans but now were growing.  They did a needle biopsy, which they didn't want to do since the nodules were so small but the specialist pushed for it.  It is cancer and the cancer had returned at the cervical of his esophagus.  His laryngeal cancer was NED.  No surgery, no more radiation since he had already had all he could since it is basically in the same spot as his laryngeal cancer and the second time for the cancer at the cervical of his esophagus.  Only thing offered was chemo, which my husband refused.  He would have refused further radiation and surgery too.

Today almost 9 months later, he is doing so-so.

    No FollowUp?

I am surprised that the doctor didn't schedule a follow-up appointment with you to discuss the findings and go over stuff. I get an appointment about 3 days to 1 week after my CTs and also a blood panel done with my oncologist.

    dr

Well I think the dr may be calling Wed I hope .I had the pet/ct scan the Oct the 20th and thought I wouldsee the DR. Nov the 1st . Was told I could call for results before I saw him and ofcourse I was scared but caledl and was told the scan was neg ( yea yea I was so so happy) and the reccomendation was to have a reg ct scan in 6mts caus the small nodule may be to small to light up at this point, but found out from the nurse the DR. was out of town and would not be back until the 6th . I live in a small town the D.R. visits once a month so I guess every thing got pushed back until Dec the 6th , my question for the nurse was what the heck would I do if this had turned out to be serious and she said said that he would of called me personally . So I set up a appointment with him for Nov the 13th we will need to drive th Chicago in order for him to see me . The nurse said the D.R. would be back in the main office Nov 6th in Chicago and she will have him give me a call . The hoops you have to jump thru are crazy. He is a top D.R.  in this field or at least thats what his nurse said , I want to have this thing removed before it turns to cancer ifit is not already , while I am scared to have the surgery I am more afraid just to leave it there. Anyway have you heard of anyone having a single lung nodle removed and how the person faired? I sure hope this is a wise desision. Sounds like you have had some difficult times your self , I hope things are looking up for you. Life it seems has many layers and I sure hope the best for you and your family. Take-care and hugs
