Like Alexandra, I amMonika:
Like Alexandra, I am not sure if what I had done was called a stereoatic biopsy. However, the biopsy that was done on me was that I had to lay (on my stomach) on a table with my boob through a hole. The biopsy was done all by machine and the needle was guided through with the use of x-rays. They wanted to be sure to be right on. When they were able to see the needle in the "mass", they then sucked out some stuff. Although it had to be sent away, the one radiologist said that she felt confident it wasn't cancerous. (and it wasn't). I wasn't allowed to shower for 24 hours and said to take motrin. It didn't hurt, but a little uncomfortable and wierd feeling.
Hope all goes well for you.

I appreciate the encouraging words. I'm pretty much certain I'll have a biopsy - you can never be sure without one, right?

I rather just get the biopsy instead of the wait and watch to see if it does something. Because I know I would try myself crazy.

Wonderful, Alexandra! Please tell her that I do have an appointment scheduled with a Dr. Kuwajerwala (they call her Dr. K) at Beaumont. Because my OVCA oncologist is through the St. John health system, I thought it might be better to stay with them. I truly appreciate you asking her for me!

I am hoping and praying that you are one of the 10% non-cancer. Whatever happens, please know that we are here for you and will support you, wherever the journey might take you!
Big hugs,
Kelly

After a very restless night, I am remaining positive, knowing that the Lord has a plan and I'm in it! Hoping that whatever it is, I will remain strong throughout. Having you ladies here, and all your kind words and support is instrumental in that goal!
