Op tomorrow morning
Well the time has arrived and I go in for my surgery tomorrow morning, needless to say I am a little scared but optimistic. I will probably feel a lot better once I have spoken to the anaesthetist about my concerns for my lungs. I have been told that it will be laparoscopic surgery and should take around 4 hours, so onwards and upwards as they say. I will be in touch as soon as I am able and let you know how it went. Thanks for all your encouragement and good wishes.

All the best for tomorrow Lizzie, it will be good to get it over with, the anticipation is such a stressor. I am sure you will do just fine, will be thinking of you!

Lizzie,
My doctor wrote on my discharge summary 2 days later that I was free of pain. He didn;t feel a thing.
Remember what you are there for. You are going to get rid of the littke buggar that left alone could kill you.
The surgery does beat the alternative.
Do not over due the pain medication. It can make you nauscious and it does cause consyipaton and nobody in their right mind wants to be constipated a week after a neph.
I wish I could sugar coat the surgery, but I can not.
We look forward to yiou being able to join us at Kahlahari and Cedar Point nest summer.
May your surgery be unevenful.

Please report back after your surgery to let us know how you are doing.
P.S. Metamucil helped me a lot with not having a BM for 5 days. I thought it would be gentler and it was.
Just to say thank you to everyone for their kind wishes, I will be in touch afterwards to let you know how I got on. I'll just say goodnight, not that I will get much sleep !!!
