Clinical trial for metastasis (mets) called Rigosertib

Hey, I just started this clinical trial I was dx with mets to the lungs about a year ago. 

I  was wondering if anyone here knows anyone who has taken this drug in previous clinical trials the drug / chemo is called Rigosertib.

Rigosertib works by blocking cell division in cancer cells and causing them to die

it is being used for metastasis of

Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Anal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

    Hi Nick,

    I am new to this metastasis thing.  I was diagnosed with uterine and cervical cancer January 23, 2012.  I was just told that my uterine cancer most likely has spread to my lungs.  CAT scans have just identified 16 nodules on my lungs.  I go for a biopsy on October 23rd to see if they are malignant but both the gyno surgeon and the thoracic surgeon say they believe they are malignant.  

    Please let me know about this drug and if you feel it is helping...most of all, please know I am praying for you!

    New one to me.

    I had not heard of a trial in lung cancer squamous.  This is a new line for me to research.  Thanks.

    Hi Barbara, I am wishing/praying the very best for your biopsy. Stay positive and look for options. Cancer CAN be beat no matter what the stage I recenetly met a young man whos body was riddled with cancer. he just celebrated his 5 years of cancer free. 

    Here is what he shared with me " It started in his intestines, then quickly moved to his spleen, pancreas, and stomach.

    Then a secondary cancer appeared in his jaw,  and new tumors moved into his liver heart, and both lungs.

    Finally, leukemia, probably brought about by the high dose chemo treatments, took over 85% of his 

    Bone marrow and central nervous system.  That is when they tried to move us to hospice. 

    We refused, battled FDA and several hospitals, and tried many experimental treatments"

     

    They never gave up!

     

    Oh and curently  i'm in day 4 of the trial so far so good, I wish I knew when I might start expereiencing soem of the side effects. I imagine like most it will take 7 to 10 days for the negative side effects to "kick-in". from what I read is most of the side effects are urilogical in nature, so I have been drinking lots of water.
