New Clinical trial for metastasis called Rigosertib
Hey guys, I wanted to let you know I started this phase 2 trial today. my latest scans showed that the tumors in my lungs had doubled in size in the last 3 months.
Rigosertib works by blocking cell division in cancer cells and causing them to die.
So here is what I read "Six head and neck cancer patients included in this study had failed platinum-based therapies, and two of these patients showed a response to rigosertib—one with the disappearance of lung metastasis and another with greater than 50% decrease of liver metastasis. These two patients have received oral rigosertib treatment for 98 and 48 weeks"
So 2 out of 6 had a good response but... Wow 98 weeks of chemo!! But if it's working. I suppose that is fine.

Hey Nick
This is actually pretty neat stuff. Appears this drug may be effective for both HPV + and HPV - Head and Neck cancers. Here's an abstract:

Hoping you the best results.

This is wonderful news....maybe as far as chemo's go, this chemo isn't bad compared to the platinum chemos, huh? Sending a ton of mojo and positive thoughts...

Yes, Phrannie According to the paper I received most of what is disclosed is urilogical in nature...bleeding, pain, blockage...etc. So they advised me to drink lots & lots of water.
i joking told my wife I need to get a urinal and mini fridge in our room
I will tell you if it had side effects like what 5FU and Taxotere did to me, I don't think I could handle 2 years
