I would like to thank
everyone who replied to my MOAN. I'm trying out the tips with mouth rinses. Sat was a dreadful day for me mentally, I was ready to give up. Sunday I wasn't as bad and after an early evening shampoo and shower and curled up in my jimjam I felt life wasn't so bad after all. Got through today at rads no probs, tomorrow is day 15 so its all downhill to finishing date. I even feel like a little 'ding' even if its too early to ring the bell.

Honey....we all had those days....
where the misery out weighed any good that we could envision at that precise moment....and then like all things in this world....good and bad..... it passed. One day at a time....one foot in front of the other....that's the only way to do this.
And yes....whoo hoo....the half way mark is looming!!! Sending a small ding from here!

hump day
JackFlash,
If you lined-up all our (H&N) MOANS, the list would fill a book. When you are in the middle of “awful” it is hard to see past the next minute, but as you can attest better days are ahead for you.
Hang in there; discover what works for you to cope with this ordeal and it will be over soon.
Matt

Moan all you want!
Treatment stinks. It just does. Moan all you want to!! I sure did, and the wonderful people on here kept me going. I don't think I would have ever finished treatment if it weren't for my CSN family. YOu have every right to moan and gripe...so let it out

It's an up-and-down
It's an up-and-down experience for sure. We've all experienced it, so hang in there! Eventually you get past this phase, and things start to get back to normal. It feels like it will never happen... but I'm a year and a half past the end of treatments, and I'm almost back to normal. So it DOES get better. You can do it!

one day at a time
Getting a shower and into jammies and just crawling into a ball is a great place if that gives you the most comfort. You just need to focus on one task a day - get the mask on for a few minutes and you can get back into bed and just rest. Don't forget as it is just not possible to overstate: HYDRATE -- NUTRITION -- PAIN MANAGEMENT. You take care of these three things and you will make it through, guaranteed!
