5-year battle
Well it has been 5-years sinced diagnosis. Stage IV colin cancer with Mets to Liver, Lung, bone. I have had 3 surgeries, multiple chemo rounds, some radiation, lung ablation and a few items I am forgetting.
The key is I am still here fighting. I have traveled to several treatment sites, St Francis - CT; Sloan Kettering - NY; UCONN medical - CT and Moores Cancer Center UCSD - CA. It has been a journey I would have rather not taken, but as everything in life, I a relatively well.
This forum has provided many a comfort. It has been awhile but I enjoy being a part of the larger picture fight against cancer. Best wihes to all, you will remain in my prayers.
Mike

Hi Mike,
I am new to theHi Mike,
I am new to the forum & it’s just 2 months since I joined. I love this forum as everyone is ever ready to help the members by sharing their experiences in this long journey. So glad to read your post & it is a huge encouragement to newly diagnosed friends. I am diagnosed as stage III CRC with regional Mets found in 4 surrounding Lymph Nodes during the rectal resection in July 2013. Just began the Chemo Rad & more Chemo to follow. A challenging year ahead.
Good Luck to you.
Gavin
