Hello dear friends,

 

I will be moving tomorrow October 1 to a new (to me) house,1/2 mile from my current condo. Yes, that's right my address is changing, please take a note of it. It is very exciting, and feels little crazy, considering health challenges and a full time job. We also did some renovations and  will not have internet for a week or more.  

I know I promised to give an update several weeks ago. Sorry it has been always something UTI, shingles (again nobody could believe), sciatica …

I participated  BELLE clinical trial and was taking  a combination of experimental drug BKM 120, a PI3K inhibitor, and Faslodex (fulvestrant) injections from March through July. I developed severe multiple side effects to the experimental drug and was taken off BKM 120 in June. Due to my long recovery from side effects I was moved to placebo group I, however have been remain on monthly Faslodex shots. Two weeks ago I decided to leave clinical trail and continue with Faslodex. My last scan in July showed stable disease and my markers in September are within my normal range (16.5).

    let me wish you wonderful new beginnings in your new home.  I'm also so pleased that everything is stable and markers normal.  Hip, hip, hooray.  Will look forward to updates from you as you settle in.

    Such a great way to end the year!  After all that you've been thru my dear Olga, I am thrilled by this news.   You so so so so deserve this - and so MUCH more in my opinion -
