Thank you Amy!!!
I bet Marquis de Sade performed MRI-guided breast biopsies in his dungeon. If he didn't - he's was an amateur.
I spent 2 hrs on my stomach with boobs hanging through 2 holes and locked in a vice, metal bar digging into my rib-cage, being rolled in and out of the giant loud magnet, core-needles drilling and sucking out flesh on both sides. Towards the end I was whining and whimpering "let me out of here". When I finally emerged, my boobs were red and squeeshed like pancakes, bleeding from 2 incisions, sweat dripping, mascara running, oh I was a sight for sore eyes, which didn't stop me from flirting with a nurse. I was told to apply constant pressure at home; I can't press on my boobs and type at the same time; called all my male friends for a favor, so far - no takers. What a drag it is getting old... Tune in for the results on Oct. 1st.

Well thank goodness that's done. Hope I never have to find out what it's like myself. I'm perfectly satisfied with your discription. Poor boobs.

I love how you deal with these tough situations with humor. I do too. Sometimes people don't get it but that's their problema. I hope you feel better soon. I hope your pancakes turn back to melons.

here's hoping for a good outcome next week. Your description made me laugh...it wasn't all that bad, was it? My standards must be very low....compared to other procedures I've had, it didn't seem too bad. One good thing about having had breast cancer is I never have to have another mammogram or breast MRI ever again...it's the little things!

I had a few surgeries in my lifetime (appendectomy, hysterectomy, abdominoplasty, IP port insertion w/out sedation), 2 car accidents (broken arm, broken knees, broken ribs, crack in the forehead), several Law & Order SVU-type encounters in my youth, 24 hr+ dry labor with episiotomy w/out epidural, chemo without a port and yet the biopsy today takes the cake. If I never see the motherloving MRI machine again, I want a mastectomy.
What procedures were worse? I need to know to stay away from them.
Drinking Baileys Irish Cream makes everything better... Oh yeh!

worse procedures: total knee replacement, regular MRI (scared the crap out of me, had to stop and wait to get someone to prescribe an ativan after which I thankfully fell asleep), total abdominal hysterectomy. Those were the very worst...you've already had the TAH so you're good. Stay away from the knee replacement...ouch! And enjoy your Baileys!!

I would've taken more, but I had to drive back. Didn't do **** anything for me. It's coffee's fault.
I need both knee replacements. Since car accident in 1998 I can't kneel. Puts a cramp on blow- my love life.
I'm pi$$ very drunk and probably should stay away from the board to maintain my unspoiled lady-like image.

You've been through the wringer in your short lifetime! Amongst all of us, I'll bet we're missing several hunded body parts and internal organs!
Let us know of course when you get the MRI results.
