Not Important in the Scheme of Things
Hi All,
My brother lost a band of about 1 1/2 inches of hair along the bottom of his hairline. Of all things, my sister-in-law says that this is bothering him (he has a beautiful head of hair). Can anyone share with me if this will ever grow back? We met a survivor who had the same diagnosis as my brother and is a year out of tx and his hair has not grown back. I know that in the big scheme of things this is not a big deal, but it would be nice if I could tell him that there is at least a possibility that it will grow back.
Thanks.

I lost the band, too
I lost the band too, not but about 3/4 inch thick and now I have pretty decent stubble there. You can't see mine since my hair is long, but if I pull it up it just looks like "baby hair" growing in. It CAN grow back...mine is

Mine grew back...
but it took quite a while for it to fill in....soft baby hair for a long time, and thin....but now it's back enough that I can wear my hair super short and it doesn't look weird (like I put a bowl on my head and cut around it)...

Oh Gosh, Phrannie. That is just what I thought it looked like when I saw him. Either that or a really novice hairdresser! Of course I didn't say that to him.

by a hair
Shawn,
18 months post and fuzzy neck with 99% fewer whiskers below the chin line.
There is always the possibility that it will grow back or that Phrannie and I will ride horses into the sunset.
I am glad to hear your brother is back in charge and contemplating the important things in life.
You got to love the H&N warrior.

Matt, my brother has a great head of hair, but couldn't ever grow facial hair to save his soul. No great loss there. Thanks for the visual of you and Phrannie riding off into the sunset!

Hi Shawn,
I hope your brotherHi Shawn,
I hope your brother is doing better! My dad also lost that band of hair and since he's older thinnning hair on top was already somewhat of an issue. I know it is bothersome to him as well, but let's hope for the best! How is the brother? I posted an update on dad today!
