Off Topic...Beau's new heart....
11 weeks ago, my beau was just out of transplant surgery.
He is doing EXTREMELY well, and I catch myself glancing at him and realizing that without this surgery, I would be left only with a memory.
HUGE thank you for the organ donor's family, for making the supreme sacrifice at their darkest moment of losing their young man!!!!!!
Hugs, Kathi

Kathi-
That is good news!!! I think it is great that people choose to be 'organ donors'...I watched the CBS Sunday Morning show this past Sunday - and it had this topic - the story just melted my heart and made me cry...I used to be religious about donating blood - but since my diagnosis, I haven't been able too...
Keep us updated as to how he's doing...

I am so glad that your beau is doing well. It is amazing when you think that an organ donor has the ability to touch so many lives. My youngest son has made the commitment to be a donor and I couldn't be prouder of him. Love Surf

And this family responded "Take anything that can help others!" So a new home was found for this young man's heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys....
I, too, am proud of your son!!!!!

Awesome news
Awesome news that your beau is doing great after his transplant.A new life for both of you after this organ donation.
The young man's family are wonderful and caring people who thought of others like your beau.I'm sure the young man's saved other people with his organs being donated. Maybe someday you and your beau will meet the family and be able to Thank them in person.

The donation site where I give - told me after I'm finished with Tamox. I can start giving again...didn't know that would affect the donation -
Again, good to hear your friend is doing well...Andi

And thank you for supporting donation!
I was a donor, but with cancer now in my past, no one wants mine....too much of a chance of 'dust bunnies' running around...*smile*

This donor's family said "take all that can help others"....so multiple organs were found new homes...
The process is such that most of the time, donors never directly meet the recipients...unless both sides are interested. But, we did write a letter of gratitude, and it will be sent to the family.
