O T-infant grand daughter-heart surgery UPDATE

I posted about granddaughter in the past weeks-we were NOT allowed to go to hopstials or see her etc-I have some contact with her now-(lives LOCAL with in 10 mins)  more then likely she will need OPEN heart surgery soon as she gains 2-3 lbs.

She has been in Westchester Medical Center 2 times in her short life..She'll be a month old on the 17th.

please keep her in your thoughts...THANKS...

    Oh Denise, I'm so sorry to hear she will need surgery.  I'm happy to hear you are able be a part of her life now.  Will keep her in my prayers.  Please keep us posted.

    So sorry to hear this news. 

    So sorry to hear this news.  I will keep her in my prayers.  It is so scary when such a wee one needs surgery.  My heart goes out to you and her family.

    thanks all...she will be ONE month tomorrow...she has gained over a lb and half at this point.

    Update: She gained 2 lbs (now 7lbs) so on her way to mended heart!

    Hoping for the best outcome

    for your granddaughter and all of your family.  So sorry to read that she needs surgery, but it is good news that she is gaining weight and reaching the point where she can have it.  Will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

    Glad the weight gain didn't take to long.The  sooner she is able to have the heart surgery the better.She will be a healthy baby and her family will feel so much better.

    Let's us know when the surgery is planned and keep us updated. You're in our Thoughts and Prayers

    Still no surgery date-but I

    Still no surgery date-but I was told by my daughter her heart (HOLES) is a smidgen better.

    I"LL take any improvement...

    This is scary surgery to think about happening to someone so tiny.  I have 2 grandchildren who have been throuth this.  One had surgery at one month and the other at 2 weeks.  They are doing great.  One is 18 now and the other is 12.

    I will also pray for you and your daughter for strength, peace and healing.

    I hope your Grandaugther is doing well. My Daugther works at Westerchester Medical Center, in peds she is a intensive care nurse it is very possible that she has taken care of your Grandaugther. It is a wonderful Hospital, she is in good hands. I will pray for her and your Family. Keep us posted.

    Perpahs your daughter did...she's been there twice-once for 2-3 days-next time week...
