Hi Alexandra,

I just wanted to say that I am thinking of you and sending you sweet gentle hugs.

I'll keep you close tomorrow as you have your biopsy.

    I've been drinking liquid courage with Ativan chasers since 5:00 pm. If they test patients for THC, I'll be disqualified from the Cancer Olympics.

    My BFF said that if I lose couple of pounds off my DDD's, no one will even notice the difference. I think he meant it as a complement. When it comes to boobs, men are  pigs.

    Biopsy - no go!

    After poking and squeezing and smothering my poor boobies in cold goo, 1 technician and 2 doctors couldn't see anything on the ultrasound. No biopsy today.

    I was re-scheduled for MRI-guided breast biopsy on Sep.23rd.

    Many thanks to Michelle (childofthestars) for sharing her experiences and making this a little less scary.

    No suitable word could I find

    That with biopsy correctly rhymed.

    All we ladies would surely agree

    That we don't like autopsy and necrops"ee"

    Alexandra:

    I had one of those guided biopsies.   You lay on a table on your stomach and put your boob through a hole!   I almost had to laugh.

    After that, one word that could rhyme with biopsy is FLOPSY or TOPSY because that is how it feels when you are done - lol

    In any event, hope all goes well for your upcoming biopsy.

    MRI breast biopsy

    I had one too. It wasn't too bad because you are on your stomach with your hands above your head. I was less anxious than during a regular MRI which did freak me out....so confined, on your back and hands at your side. I figured lying on my stomach I would be able to crawl out in an emergency. In the biopsy, you go in and out of the machine til they locate the right spot, then you come out and they do the biopsy. As I recall, it didn't hurt. My breast surgeon said that diagnosing breast cancer isn't ever 'an emergency', so waiting for tests seems to be the standard. I was diagnosed in October and had the surgery in January after a big family vacation. Worked out fine other than the anxiety of waiting. Hopefully, all will be well, Alexandra and you won't become a pink/teal sister. Teal is enough!

    The waiting is no fun but know that we will all be with you in spirit on the 23rd!  I racked my brain trying to come up with a word that rhymes with biopsy but couldn't.  I like our teal sister's "topsy" and "flopsy"!
