Glad you found us so soon after your diagnosis. Of course you are all over the place. That's the norm for this stage of the game. Where are you in the process? Does your name mean you are starting with radiation? Hang out with us and we'll help you through.

I was diagnosed on Aug 22, 2013..
At this point, i've saw the oncologist for the first time Aug 23rd, had blood work done and the removal of a migrated mirena implant. Aug 30th, I went in for a cat scan. The Dr. says stage one... At this point. Providing the results of the Cat scan.. I'll have the Davinci hysterectomy and lymph node removal.
Dr. said he's not sure what if any other treatment. Seems, it's all about getting in and accessing.
No news yet.... It's so stressful waiting for any news... And being constantly asked if you've heard anything.
My name is silly... I've used it for years as my email... I'm heavily tattooed, and i'm a Texas gal. ;-)0 -

Tattoos for radiation? Really? Yikes!
Do you know how long it takes to get cat scan results?
I went in on the 30th.. Nothing yet.

Makes me nervous and anxious to not know.I had radiation and did not have to get tattoos. I was terrified I would (I can't stand needles), but I had clear, sticky disks put over the indelible marker to protect them and did not need them. They are one little dot, and I have friends who have got them for her breast cancer radiation, but not everyone needs them.

it was just a small dot with a very small needle, so it was no big deal. Not sure why some people get them and others don't. I know they said I could not get the pelvic radiation again.

You were diagnosed on the same day I celebrated two years after last treatment. Hopefully the Dr. you are using is a gynecological oncologist as it does make a difference. Until you have the surgery and everything is sent to the pathology lab you will not know the true staging of the tumor or if it has spread to the lumph nodes. I had one tumor in the uterus that was stage 1A per the path report but I also had two microscropic cells in 1 lyphm node so it rose to Stage 3C. If you do have to have chemo, it is doable and not as bad as I had thought it would be. My Dr. choose not to do radiation because she said we removed everything so there is nothing at this time to radiate. Different drs, different treatments. Praying for you. trish

Trish... Hi!
I'm in Austin.
I'm seeing a gynecological oncologist at TX Oncology. He was referred by my specialist that diagnosed me.
I sopke with the PA yesterday.. Davinci surgery..hysterectomy and lymph nodes (he mentioned removing them) set for Oct 9th. The Cat scan did not show any surprises.
I have only one ovary..it has a cyst, no tubes, fibroids, and a fluid filled mass.. The Dr is unclear on that. And two masses inside the uterus.
Seems like it's been forever since my diagnosis. Everything is happening very fast.
Thanks so much for sharing with me!!
Praying that you are in a good place now.
i'm nervous, but also looking forward to moving forward.
